Corona Virus scare is not stopping OnePlus to launch its new Flagships. OnePlus has decided to start the sale of the new OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 through an Online event on April 14, 2020. Usually, OnePlus used to host events in top cities for its fans to not only witness the launch but also buy their newly announced devices on the same day with some special goodies. This year as the Corona VIrus has disrupted everything and most of the countries around the world is under lockdown, and gathering of a large crowd is not permitted/advised, OnePlus has announced an Online Popup event.
Availability
This event will let you buy the new devices as soon as after the launch through their official website. The availability on Amazon is not yet confirmed as most of the e-commerce websites operations are suspended until further instructions from the authorities. Most of the brands launch it this way. This time, we need to see how different the popup event will be. Considering the way OnePlus’ past launches, we can expect OnePlus to offer some free goodies to the buyers who book the new devices on the launch day. However, this is yet to be confirmed by the brand, we hope OnePlus will not disappoint its fans who are waiting for these new devices. Most likely the deliveries will start on April 15, 2020.

There were rumours of a third device, OnePlus 8 Lite, an economy flagship to beat the competitors. However, there are no signs of it yet. Even if OnePlus launches it at an economical price, there is a head to head competition in the budget flagship segment.
